Barton and Pegsdon Hill Circular

Service Description

A beautiful circular walk taking in Barton and Pegsdon Hill nature reserves Starting in Barton Le Clay by the Arnold Recreation Ground where there is plenty of free on street parking. We will make our way up alongside the Barton Hill Nature Reserve reaching the top where we will stop to take in the views. We will then walk along fields and pockets of woodland before reaching Pegsdon Hill nature reserve - again with great far reaching views. After this we will drop back down and walk back across farmland back into Barton Le Clay returning to where we parked. The route is 14km | 9 miles and will take approximately 4-5 hours - we will meet to start our walk at 930am Please no there are no public toilets or facilities nearby A kit list will be supplied via email a few days before but with the time of year suitable footwear for muddy, chalky ground will be essential along with waterproofs and warm layers. The aim is to enjoy the views and the landscape and so the pace will be steady to match the groups needs and this could impact the finish time. You are responsible for your own health and safety so if you are unsure as to whether you are fit to come on these hikes, please either consult your doctor or let me know your concerns. If you wish to bring anyone under 18 or any dogs then please consult with me before so we can check that the route is suitable for them Payment will be via bank transfer, PayPal or cash on the day
